I want you to take a minute and journal on this question.
What could cultivating more inner peace do for my health?

Since I have started my Fear To Love, Inner Peace Coaching Group, I have given a lot of thought to the benefits of creating more inner peace in our lives. I believe that when we feel less afraid, we can move and act from a place of creativity. This helps us to create the lives we want instead of living at the effect of life. When we lead our lives out of fear, we end up in jobs, relationships, basically lives that are unsatisfying. I will never forget one wonderful boss I had who told me that I could do anything I put my mind too. She told me if I was staying in a job due to fear, that was the wrong reason to stay. The answer at that point was very clear. Fear was the only thing keeping me there. As much as my boss did not want me to go, she gave me the advice I needed, and I never looked back.
This weekend, I was giving and attending classes on essential oils. I had a realization. The lack of any type of inner peace has created every health issue I have had throughout my entire life. When I was little, I had headaches and stomaches. When I got older, I had hormonal issues. The very well meaning doctors did what they could with what they had. They helped me take care of my symptoms with medication. But in the long run, those medications made everything worse.
And honestly, if I was given something like essential oils and ways to think and deal with stress differently at a young age, it would have changed the trajectory of my entire life.

When I was in my 30’s, I was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue, the ultimate stress diagnosis. I saw a functional medicine doctor at the time who did an awesome job of getting me off medications and took a more holistic approach, BUT the underlying symptom was still there…stress, anxiety. Not until I was able to take care of those two things did my physical health start getting better.
I received the following information off webmd:
- “Seventy-five percent to 90% of all doctor’s office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints.
- Stress can play a part in problems such as headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, skin conditions, asthma, arthritis, depression, and anxiety.
- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) declared stress a hazard of the workplace. Stress costs American industry more than $300 billion annually.
- The lifetime prevalence of an emotional disorder is more than 50%, often due to chronic, untreated stress reactions.” https://www.webmd.com/balance/stress-management/effects-of-stress-on-your-body
So what was your answer when you thought about how creating more inner peace would affect your health? Did the thought of true/thriving health come to your mind? I am not talking about the fake/botox (nothing against botox, but you know what I mean) health. I am talking about true, inner, long lasting in your cells type of health.
