Sometimes God Sightings come in the form of people. I will never forgot the first time I met Dr. Fred Schultz. I knew he was an angel sent from God.
I will not bore you with my entire medical history. Let’s just say that throughout my life I would get a symptom. I would go to the doctor. The doctor would prescribe a medication. Sound familiar? The symptom would get better for a while, but another symptom would appear. The medication, in the long run, always ended up causing the exact symptom it was supposed to cure.
I was prescribed birth control pills in high school to regulate my hormones. After college I was told I had polycystic ovaries and was prescribed spironolactone (this is a medication for heart disease that they give to people with polycystic ovaries – I know it doesn’t make sense). By the time I was 30 years old, my cholesterol was high. My doctor told me I had to go on prescription medication for my cholesterol.
I was thin at the time. I ate healthy. I knew something else was wrong. I was 30 years old and being prescribed a THIRD medication. How was I going to live to see 80? I already WAS 80!
I started researching. I was scared and didn’t want to go against the doctor’s recommendations. But I couldn’t deny this voice deep inside that would not let me take the third medication. I started to look up natural remedies and visited health food stores. One store referred me to Dr. Fred Schultz in Wheaton at The Center For Health and Healing. The stars were in alignment. My life changed.

Dr Schultz listened, and then he helped. He properly diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue. My adrenal glands were exhausted from years of medication. He put me on a regimen of vitamins and supplements. It took time, but my body recovered. I no longer needed the medication.
Dr Schultz honored my inner voice. He awakened my strength. He offered me hope. Whenever you meet someone who awakens your sense of self, you have surely had a God Sighting. Honor it as such. Tell the person. Watch him smile and laugh with a twinkle in his eye when you remind him from where he came.
This person doesn’t have to be a doctor as in my example. It could be a friend or even a stranger with whom you share a brief smile. Always honor the feeling that a person was “meant to be” in your life.
